Sprite Stitch Board!

Hi guys! My name is Lucas, I'm 27 years old and I'm new to the forum. Although I've been reading it and checking out lots of wonderful projects. I already wanted to do some video game inspired works, but when I found the site and the forum, I really got inspired and started making some projects.

This is the first tile mosaic I've ever done. I made two more after (but they're not game inspired, they're more artistic, to suit a room of my house), but I'm going to make a second game inspired table soon, and it's going to be bigger and better. I'm also making my first cross-stitch ever, I'm still not as good as everyone here, but I'll be sure to post it when I finish it.

Anyway, I hope you like it.

Hey there! Thank you very much, I'm really glad you guys liked it!

To make it, I used this type of tile:



Plus, some glue and grout powder. It works kinda like cement, so it gives this brick-like appearance when it's done.

To apply it, I used a medium sized brush to make the final touches and take off the excess of grout.

Oh, and about the table, I bought it and it had a clean wood aspect, with a light color. I used tarnish to make it more brownish. Overall, it took two days to have it done. The next table is a white coffee table that is bigger than this one (about double of the size of this one). It's also going to be inspired in a famous game franchise, so I'll sure post it here for you all to see.

That is so very true! I've spent many hours just looking through the forums finding all kinds of neat projects while at work.

BTW - I LOVE the idea of doing tile art for your table! And it looks wonderful! Do you have to special order the table from anywhere specific, or did you just get a table and start working?

What are the materials and tools did you use in this table? It is really a nice coffee table. I would like to do it by myself also.
