This christmas during the Guild Wars Wintersday 2009 event they released a series of papercraft models made from the in-game 3D models. Being that this game is a favorite of both me and my partner I decided that Chibi-Gwen would make her a great christmas present.

So I finished it last night at 2am because today I have a 4 hour bus trip ahead of me.
Pictures! I didn't get many because I was in such a hurry to get it finished :)

Used this clamp to hold the head in place so that the weight of the body held it in place rather than the weight of the head making it fall off

It was lots of fun to make, a little frustrating. I used card that was a little thick which made some bits hardser than they should of been, simple PVA glue applied with toothpicks and a series of clamps to hold peices in place so I didn't have to sit around holding things waiting for glue to dry, I could just move onto another peice while I waited.

Cost me about $3 to make, used work's colour laser printer and if I ever do antoher one of these, I'm doing it on A3 card :)

never thought of using a clamp to help it hold together that's a smart idea! your folds look way better than mine too!....tho all i've ever done is a box cat for the top of my monitor....hehe

All my folds were done over a small metal ruler

I was going to ask if it was a bone folder. I'm incredibly bad at folding, but once I got my hands on one of these I'm a million times better!

Here's a link to wikipedia for those interested in paper crafts. Price should be under $10. Just make sure it's not plastic. (Those tend to suck.)

That would have been nice to have, the metal edges would scratch the paper if I wasn't careful.
Another useful tool to have on hand is chopsticks, good for poking tabs down when you only have a small opening to work with.
