) as we've recently bought our first house together.I've never given latch hooking a go before, but it was really straghtforward to pick up and the project grew really quickly (which is always nice
). I made the pattern using my usual cross stitch pattern making software, but then selected the wool colours from an online retailer. The colour selection is a lot more limited than DMC/Anchor threads, so making a pattern with limited colours is definitely a must and I had to compromise on a couple of colours due to limited choice.All in all, I'm pretty chuffed with the way it's turned out, although having spent a fair amount of time making it, I'm a bit worried about it getting dirty if it's actually used as a rug! Are there any other latch-hookers (?! is there a more appropriate term XD) on here with any tips about displaying work?
