New bead weaver to the site! The keyblade project.

Post by angelyques »

Hi everyone! I'm pretty new at sprite stitching. (I've only been at it for just over a year!) I wanted to share with you my latest project. I'm hoping to make all the Kingdom Hearts keyblades by the end of the year. Here are the ones I have so far starting with One-winged angel!

That's pretty good. I also do bead weaving and I was wondering what you do to keep it stuff when there's only a few beads in the row like the staff of the blade.

Clear beads are your friends. I used a ton of them for the ultima blade.

This was my display board as of 2 days ago. I've made 3 more since.

Wow! So many! That looks amazing. Do you use wire or thread, like are they really floppy or kind of stiff? Either way, very cool :clapping:

Thanks!
They're made with hundreds of tiny seed beads woven together with thread. They can be floppy or stiff. Depends on the thread, or if you use hardener.

Which thread and size beads do you use? I use size 11 delicas and 6lb Fireline but it's not very good at keeping long thin areas from flopping around.

I use the exact same combo. You have to go through the beads a ton of times to get it stiff. It's tricky because if you force it, they'll crack. So practice I guess?
