Double Project Idea (Clock/Pokeball?)

So I am going to write this down because chances are I am gonna forget it… but I’m also writing it down so if anyone else wants to try it they totally can (because I’m not sure I’ll be able to!) ^__^
So my idea is two-fold. Make a clock using glow-in-the-dark DMC thread on black fabric. No idea if it’d actually work at night, though… But in order to get the clock mechanism, I would buy a cheapish clock and take the parts from that rather than buy a clock kit. This’d leave me with an unused plastic clock without a face… (I am thinking of a particular style, one that my Mom has in her house…)
So I maybe turn that clock into a frame? But not just any frame. A pokeball. I’d spraypaint the top half red (making sure to cover the clear plastic so it stays clear XD) then the bottom half white (more realistically, paint the whole thing white and then just the top half red… anyway…) and then put a Pokemon cross-stitch inside it. Thus putting Pikachu (or whatever pokemon) Inside the 'pokeball'. ^___^
No idea if it would actually work and I figure you’d need a plastic clock that has at least an inch of border around the face… But it’s the sort of thing that would be perfect for a kid (or adult) who is really into Pokemon.
What do you think?
