Custom Amiibos

So me and my friends have been getting into this amiibo craze. Then someone had the brilliant idea of giving them some custom paint jobs to make them a little more special. Currently I have only done a toon link, but I am working on a Dedede. If I get some pics off my friends, maybe I will show what they have done as well
(Sorry, I might try resizing tomorrow...

That's fantastic! Now I want to do a shiny Charizard...
... not that I'm picking up any amiibos, since I don't have a Wii U or a N3DS.

Very nice! I have a Samus and a Pikachu. I'd like to do Samus in the Gravity Suit but right now I don't have the confidence to go ahead and do it!

i never would have thought to do this, myself, but i LOVE this idea. i have some amiibos and paint. perhaps time to experiment...

Do it! Although it is pretty nerve wrecking when there are areas you want to leave as their original colour...

Yeah, they are nice quality! At least with smash they are designed so you can take them to a friends house and tap in very easily. I think they are also going to release an adapter for older 3ds models as well. I decided to get a new 3ds, so now I have both Australia and Japanese regions. It is nice to not have to get games shipped from home, and gives me more incentives to improve my Japanese.

I love the custom paint job idea! That's genius. You probably could sell them on Etsy
