Hi everybody. My name is Chris. I just signed up on the forums.
My crafts are "wooden sprites" that I build block by block out of 1/2" wooden cubes and then hand-paint. I make both standees, and wall-hang plaques. Right now I'm working on pretty cool piece of Kirby and Rick, which you can see here.

But I also wanted to share some of my recent work.

Mega Man:

Mario (from SMB3):

and Bub from Bubble Bobble:

I'm looking forward to hearing what you all think. I sell many of my pieces in my Etsy shop, so if you know anyone who's looking for a cool display pieces, feel free to spread the word.

Here's a work-in-progress shot of Kirby and Rick: http://mrgilder.tumblr.com/post/1103700 ... irby-today

I finished painting them last night. I'm varnishing them this week.

Those are so cool looking! If I had a bigger bookcase, I'd want to get some as bookends :) How long do they take you?

How long? It really depends on how big the piece is. I have a regular 40 hr/wk job, so I don't get to work on them for long periods of time. An hour here, and hour there; so I've never really thought to keep track. Smaller pieces like Mario and Bub take maybe 8-10 hours total. Something bigger like Mega Man takes maybe twice that.
