Thanks all for the cheering on
I've made some progress again, but I'm working on some other things again so it's slumbering in my closet...
But progress = progress so = picture:

This is so cool! I never would have thought to use granny squares in this manner...I may have to pick up the hook again and try this.
I live under a rock, where it's nice and cool.

I've been crocheting my ass (and fingers) off this week to finally finish this.
Only 2 rows (of 20 squares) to go and some joining and it will be done
(Oh, the top 5 rows are nog yet joined vertically, so they look a little weird... it will smoothen when done)

Thanks!
Well, it's not a BABY-blanket anymore... It's turning out to be a real big girls blanket:

I've finally come round to finish the last squares. So all 720 are done
I just need to attach the top 2 rows and then make a final round all around the blanket to work away all the threads and sew a fleece-fabric behind it.

I've finally crocheted all the pieces together... all that is left is a border (maybe tonight) and then I'm done! 720 granny squares.... pffff
Spoiler
And for those of you who didn't see how big it is, here's my 3,5 year-old daughter posing
This is nowhere near a Baby-blanket anymore haha...
