Sorry, forgot all about posting here (thanks to the subscribing of topics I got an email )...

But I did work on it more and now a little past the halfway-point.


During the holidays I did some square-making in the car so I now have a fair amount of red and pink squares, but really need the whites and blacks to get me going again... but working on the mini-swap and other stuff got me to a halt now. But, I will return to this before the end of the year (don't know if I can make it to the due date of the receiver, but will try!)

Before I saw this post I thought granny squares were very lame. Oh how wrong was I! This has given me many ideas for crocheting now.... I love the way it look!

I so love making granny squares while travelling, waiting for appts, etc. This is a great way to use them. Much better than my boring old patterns. Maybe when I finish the one I'm working on (10 years from now!) I'll try something like this. Birdo is such an awesome choice! Looks great!
