Are they put together in one piece or can you take them apart?

they are in pieces. you can move and rearrange them. funny that this thread just got renewed, I just moved and am going to paint them. and I'm actually going to put them on the ground in my new office, but with one piece hanging on the wall as if its falling into place. I'll get pics up in the next week as I get it done.
